FINA Swimming World Cup 2018 - Tokyo Day 2

Somerset based swimmers are competing from 9 to 11 November 2018 in Japan.

Women's 100m Breaststroke

Siobhan-Marie O'Connor (1:05.07) finished third (improving on her 1:06.46 heat and 1:06.99 entry times) in the Final won by Alia Atkinson (1:03.09).  Georgia Coates (1:06.49) came seventh 

Women's 50m Butterfly

Siobhan-Marie O'Connor (25.98) had earlier improved on her 26.12 heat and 27.19 entry times to finish sixth in the Final won by Ranomi Kromowidjojo (24.51).

Men's 100m Freestyle

Eliot Clogg improved to 49.23 to rank 25th after the morning heats.

Men's 200m Butterfly

James Guy (1:55.44) improved his 1:56.13 entry to rank 15th after the morning heats. Gold in the final went to Zhuzao Li (1:50.92).

Men's 50m Backstroke

Despite having the slowest entry time (26.55) of 59 competitors, the improvement by Brodie Williams (24.97) saw him rank 35th after the morning heats.

Women's 200m Freestyle

Georgia Coates (1:56.88) improved on her 2:00.50 entry to claim first reserve sport after the heats.

Men's 200m IM

Brodie Williams (1:58.84) immediately followed up with an improvement on his 2:03.15 entry time to rank 26th after the morning heats.
