Celebrating Outstanding Service - Pat Pusill
Swim England has many dedicated volunteers who carry out their duties quietly for the benefit of the swimmers and love of our sport. The Wyvern Plate, introduced in 1995 as a result of a donation from Mrs Ann Reynolds to mark her year as our President, was established by the County for award annually to an adult member of the Association "for outstanding service to the County over a period of years" and chosen from nominations received from affiliated Clubs.
And now one name appears twice among the list of distinguished award winners - that of Pat Pusill.
Pat first received the award in 2004 as a member of Burnham-on-Sea Swimming Club and in 2017/18, Norton Radstock Swimming Club nominated her again for the County honour.
Pat also received the south west award for outstanding Service to Aquatics in 2017. You can read about her volunteer contribution to Club, County and Regional activities and local communities spanning 38 years in this article..
We were delighted to recognise Pat's commitment by presenting this award at our AGM. Thank you Pat from everyone in Somerset.
