Anna Meaden
Secretary
TeamBath Artistic Swimming Club aim to enable athletes to continue the sport of artistic swimming alongside their higher education.
The Club is a Swim England SwimMark Essential Club. SwimMark accreditation is Swim England’s quality standard for clubs. It recognises high standards of governance, sustainability and effectiveness.
The Club is based at the University’s Sports Training Village where facilities include:
- London 2012 Olympic Legacy 50m pool
- High performance and general fitness gyms
- Many indoor and outdoor pitches
- Three large sprung-wood sports halls
- Physio treatment areas and sport science labs
Using the facilities, the club aims to offer a complete training programme to ensure athletes reach their full potential within a professional but friendly atmosphere, whilst receiving a world class education. TeamBath will support swimmers’ home clubs by offering training during term time. The club already has members ranging from complete beginners to England and GB training squad members, and intends to compete both competitive and recreational teams from 2017. This will include competing in the English Champs, British Masters and European Open Events. The club will ensure all members have pathways available to them to become coaches, assessors and judges.
The club has open membership for swimmers from 16 years of age so if you, or anyone you know, are considering studying at the University of Bath, Bath Spa University, Bath College, or even simply live within travelling distance, please do not hesitate to make contact.
