|Description||Part of a series of webinars with Age UK designed to get us to think differently, see some of the data and insight that is in our sector and help connect us together to support a more active, less sedentary lifestyle for both us and the people we work with and / or support. This Jul 2021 session looks at key insights from people in the 50 – 70 year age range and those 70+ as to how physical activity can help connect people, while also helping with physical health. These age ranges will often include a number of key transitions including children leaving home, retirement, becoming a grandparent etc. Tom Burton, Sport England's National Partnerships Lead (Health and Inactivity) gives a national flavour to Sport England investments and future priorities around this work. Tom has a broad portfolio and a real ability to bring the data to life. He also talks about future priorities for Sport England funding in this area of work. Caroline Odjidja from Age UK Milton Keynes shares their innovative Befriending Walks work which is also starting in Somerset with our Age UK soon.|
