Exercise after Stroke Webinar
|Duration||1 Hour 16 Minutes|
|Description||This webinar, first hosted in March 2019 by Stroke Association and the Swim England Learn to Swim team, looks at what a stroke is, common side effects, and the benefits of physical activity, especially swimming. It also explores potential barriers to participation and how you can ensure your leisure centres and swim sessions are accessible for stroke survivors. There are over 1.2 million stroke survivors in the UK. Physical activity after a stroke can improve a stroke survivor's quality of life, aid their recovery and assist secondary prevention.
