Bridgwater ASC fundraiser for new Diving Blocks

During March / April 2022 Bridgwater Amateur Swimming Club has been fundraising to try and get new diving blocks and backstroke wedges for the benefit of all their swimmers. They’ve already been able to secure a substantial amount of funding - £7,500 - towards the cost via grants but still needed a further £3,376 to achieve their goal.

The Club is a non profit competitive swimming club for children of all ages and achieved national recognition in 2019 as Swim England Club of the Year.

Over the last 12 months the Club's swimmers have worked incredibly hard with the support of all parents and coaches to attend regular competitions and training sessions. Their swimmers are competing at all levels despite the disadvantage of not having the most up to date diving blocks to continue their journey. Many of you will understand the commitment that’s needed from these children. The Club is rightly proud of becoming a force to be reckoned with and is now hosting the Cotswold League A Final.

Club Committee member Donna Chillingworth has very kindly set up a Gofundme page to help raise the extra amount of funding they need.

So this is where we all come in, if you are able and willing to, please share the above link in your Clubs and network to spread the word or indeed, donate if you can.

Footnote Legnote
Ricky Hayes, Head Coach has agreed once the Club hits their target he will have his full legs waxed for the cause (they are hairy) which the Club will film and post [think of this as an extra incentive, not disincentive!).
