Job: EIS Physiologist (working with British Swimming)

Work alongside the Lead Physiologist (who will structure and guide the overall support for the National Centre), identified SSSM and NGB staff (including National Centre Coaches) and Physical Performance Lead to improve performance through developing, implementing and evaluating physiology services.
  • Provide direct physiological support to athletes including day to day services at training sessions and conducting field and laboratory based assessments in adherence with robust testing protocols.  Produce and distribute reports and communicate effectively with coaches and athletes around results.
  • Assist with the maintenance, calibration and quality control of the physiological testing equipment and the health and safety procedures for the site
  • Ensure that the delivery of the physiological service effectively meets its commitments to athletes, coaches and National Governing Bodies including responsibility for the delivery of individual athlete planning (IAP) goals for program athletes in the Bath National Centre
  • Facilitate appropriate communication methods, including workshops, to inform and educate athletes, coaches and support staff in the effective use of physiological support
  • Develop and maintain current data collection processes and reporting methods; especially in the areas of training load monitoring and in-pool testing/monitoring
  • Manage project work or applied research across the organisation as appropriate, including collecting data around technology validation and Tokyo specific projects
  • Attend, contribute to and provide regular reports at appropriate meetings associated with the programme and to key stakeholders including other EIS colleagues and NGB staff including reporting relevant data back at the weekly centre meeting
  • Contribute to knowledge development, aggregation and sharing across the organisation to support the development of world class physiology services and the high-performance system #CollectiveBrilliance
