Update for Somerset ASA Championships Sessions on 1/2 Feb 2020

Post Publication Update
31 Jan: See news item which includes Meet programs for Sessions 7 to 10 and to help with timings an updated Session report just for 1/2 Feb . We have also published a list of volunteers signed up as at 4.28pm on 31 Jan -  please can Clubs encourage sign-ups for upcoming sessions, especially Session 9 where we are short of cover!

Please download the list of volunteers signed up as at 4.28pm on 31 Jan 2020 to support upcoming sessions of Somerset ASA County Championships.

If you have volunteered already, please check the above list so that you know what you are doing and also refer to the report times document to check when you need to report.

There are still sessions that need covering. Please can all our clubs continue to ask their volunteers to sign up.

We also ask all Club Coaches and Team Managers to remind swimmers that they need to listen and follow instructions being given to them in marshaling, irrespective of age and experience. There is a system in place for a reason. Marshaling can be chaotic at times and the Pool Marshaling team need swimmers to sit where asked to ensure that all swimmers are in the right heats / finals.

Sales of Somerset ASA Championship Hoodies are going incredibly well and they seem to be very well received.  SwimPath have advised that the last chance to pre-order will be Sunday 2 February 2020.

Please view the mock-up designs. To pre order your Merchandise for the event please go to
https://go.swimpath.co.uk/Event-Merchandise

Also they are available on the Swimpath Facebook page.

Just select your County and once you have purchased Hoodies or Hats, you can collect them at the Event.

To avoid disappointment, please can Clubs ensure that the message gets around to all swimmers and parents. The hoodies will not be available after the Counties have concluded.

Finally, please note the early warning that the car park will be busy at Millfield over 1/2 February 2020. Not only have we got a full meet but other sports are also taking place. Please be prepared to park in the upper car park and walk through the School if instructed to do so by the car park marshals.

This weekend Paul Chambers and Neil Chambers will be your Meet Managers.

Kelly Podbury, Swimming Competition Secretary will be publishing the heat sheets for this weekend on Friday 31 Jan 2020 - if there are any withdrawals, please let her know by the end of Thursday.

Don't forget to ask your volunteers to sign up if they haven't done so already.
