Adam Peaty signs for Team London in the International Swimming League

Olympic and five time World Champion Adam Peaty OBE, 24, has become an Ambassador for the International Swimming League. Peaty signed the ambassador agreement with Konstantin Grigorishin, the Head Advisor of the International Swimming League at a media conference in London which announced the formation of a London team managed by Olympic medallist Rob Woodhouse.

Woodhouse will be recruiting a team that will feature some of the world’s best known swimmers. Already on board, joining Adam to represent team London, are fellow Olympic & world champions Kyle Chalmers, Cate Campbell, Bronte Campbell and Emma McKeon.

Adam is spearheading a campaign to name the London team, launching a competition on social media. The winning name will be announced, with accompanying logo, within the next few weeks.

Commenting on his role, Adam said: “I’m really pleased to officially take up the role of ISL Ambassador today. I’m passionate about swimming and excited about the new opportunities Konstantin is bringing to the sport and athletes around the world. The format is exciting for both those of us competing in the series and the swimming fans who will get to watch us – an opportunity to watch the best in the world racing with and against each other in some fantastic venues. All we now need is a name for our London team!”
