Young Volunteer Journeys Begin

Kelly Podbury, Young Volunteers Co-ordinator writes: "On Sunday I had the privilege to meet and start to work with most of this year’s Young Volunteers - a great bunch of young people keen to learn more about what makes a successful Aquatic Volunteer.
"This year we have a mixture of swimmers and water polo players, working together identifying hazards and risks, discussing what makes a good coach / teacher, realising what their responsibilities should be on poolside, who does what and why and for me the art challenge was particularly fun. I had to take a few snaps and share them with you all.

"They all now have their Volunteer polo shirts and will be wearing them around the County as they Volunteer. Please stop and ask them how they are getting on. I hope most will Volunteer at the Counties.
"We all meet again next weekend when we embark on the Young Aquatic Leaders Course, hopefully giving them the skills and motivation to get behind Aquatic events and finding out about the organisation and planning behind an event."
