Swim England Qualifications (SEQ), based in Loughborough, are looking for up to three new independent board members. This is an exciting and vital opportunity to help develop and shape the future growth of the organisation.

About Swim England Qualifications

Swim England Qualifications (SEQ) is the awarding organisation for Swim England, the national governing body for swimming. It develops the swimming industry’s leading qualifications and professional development opportunities for a vibrant and growing swimming teaching workforce.

SEQ is recognised and regulated by Ofqual and Qualification Wales. Its qualifications are developed not only to share knowledge but to provide fun lesson plan ideas, motivational skills and practical experiences for swimming teachers to develop professionally and pass on their love of swimming to their own learners.

Through its awarding organisation partnership with the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA), SEQ is a founding contributor to the development of new professional standards for the swimming industry. All of SEQ's qualifications are CIMPSA endorsed and each year SEQ issue over 17,000 qualifications and accredited continual professional development (CPD) certificates to learners. SEQ are passionate about passing on our experience and know-how to develop professional and inspirational swimming teachers.

The Role

As a commercial subsidiary of Swim England, the role of SEQ's board is to review, challenge and support the business objectives whilst ensuring compliance with its regulatory bodies. SEQ's board consists of an independent chair, the head of Swim England Qualifications, senior Swim England personnel and two independent board members.

SEQ are looking for up to three new independent board members to increase its diversity of expertise following two of members coming to the end of their term.

Interviews will be held in September in Loughborough. The next board meeting will be held on 4 of October and successful candidates will be invited to attend this meeting.
