Timekeeper and Officials Training at the University of Bath

Officials training dates

Timekeeper Training
- Friday 8 June 2018 (6pm to 8pm)

A 45 minute classroom workshop then 45 minutes poolside, timing some of the swimmers in their session

ClipbaordJ1 Workshop - Tuesday 19 June 2018 (6pm to 8pm)

Following on from the Timekeeper session, J1 training is a 2 hour workshop then practical training poolside at competitions with a mentor and a final assessment.

If you have completed the Timekeeper qualification previously at another session but have not had chance to attend the J1 workshop, you can still sign up to join.

The minimum age to start training is 15 years and young volunteers will be welcome.

Everyone taking part will need Swim England (ASA) membership before attending in order to be covered by insurance whilst poolside. Please speak to your club membership secretary immediately to organise this.

Candidates will need to bring a stopwatch and be appropriately dressed for poolside.

Candidates will be sent an application form to complete and bring to the workshop together with a cheque for £8.00 payable to ‘Swim England’ to cover the cost of enrolment.
