FFN Golden Tour Camille Muffat 2018 - Nice Days 1 and 2

At London 2012, Camille Muffat won 400m freestyle gold, 200m freestyle silver and 4×200m freestyle relay bronze. In doing so she became only the fourth French swimmer to win an individual Olympic gold medal and also the third French athlete overall to win three Olympic medals at a single Games.

Sadly Camille died in a helicopter collison at age 25 during the filming of a French TV show. So it is good to see Bath National Centre stars James Guy and Jazz Carlin honouring her memory by supporting the three day FFN Golden Tour Camille Muffat 2018 series leg in Nice.

Day 1

Carlin opened her campaign by winning Day 1's 800m Freestyle gold (8:45.77) finishing over 6s ahead of Lara Grangeon (8:51.84, Nice) and Alizée Morel (8:52.80, Dauphins Toulouse)

Day 2

Guy won 200m Butterfly gold in 01:57.46 with Bence Biczó (01:57.96, Hungary) and Jeremy Desplanches (01:59.25, Olympic Nice Natation) completing the podium.

Carlin finished sixth (2:04.45)  in the 200m Freestyle event won by Charlotte Bonnet (1:57.28, Olympic Nice).
