Luxembourg Euro Meet 2018 Day 3 - Gold for Guy and Walker-Hebborn

Another successful day at the Luxembourg Euro Swim Meet saw GB Swimmers pick up another 10 medals.

There was a gold and silver for GB in the early session with a one-two in the 4x100m Medley as Chris Walker-Hebborn (57.28), Charlotte Atkinson (59.81), Adam Peaty (58.50) and Aimee Wilmott (56.95) clinched first place in a meet record (3.52.54) finishing 0.42s ahead of team mates Kathleen Dawson (1:02.33), James Guy (52.56), Sarah Vasey (1:09.61) and Duncan Scott (48.46).

James Guy (52.31 GB Bath NC) picked up his second gold of the meet holding off the challenge of Laszlo Cseh by 0.2s in the 100m Butterfly.

Adam Peaty (59.62 GB) won his third gold of the Meet in the 100m Breaststroke with Ross Murdoch (1:00.62 GB) earning a silver. David Murphy (1:02.45 GB) and Edward Baxter (1:02.83) also enjoyed a 1-2 in the B Final.

There was a third British A Final one-two of the day when Aimee Willmott (2:13.24) beat Hannah Miley (2:14.21) into silver medal position in the 200m Medley. Duncan Scott (2:00.74 GB) also won a 200m Medley silver, finishing 0.38s behind Philip Heintz.

In the 50m Backstroke events, Georgia Davies (27.75 Energy Standard) set a meet record in beating Sarah Sjoestroem (28.41) to gold. Kathleen Dawson (29.40 GB) came eighth.

Chris Walker-Hebborn (25.80 GB Bath NC) secured the Men's bronze, finishing 0.48s behind Kliment Kolesnikov.

Hannah Miley (4:15.53 GB) claimed silver in the 400m Freestyle won by Sarah Koehler (4:09.72). The Men's 400m Freestyle saw five battling to the wall as Stephen Milne (3:56.63 GB) finished 5s off a podium place in sixth.

Edinbury University's Lucy Hope (55.53) won bronze in the 100m Freestyle ahead of Katherine Stark (55.98) in fifth and Rachel-Louise Masson (56.11) in seventh.

Charlotte Atkinson (59.52 GB) came fourth and Laura Stephens (:00.12 Plymouth Leander) sixth in a close 100m Butterfly won by Sarah Sjoestroem in a meet record 56.77.

0.07s separated both Jocelyn Ulyett (1:08.84 GB) from bronze and from Sarah Vasey (1:09.91 GB) in fifth in the 100m Breaststroke. 

Kathleen Dawson (2:20.23 GB) finished ninth in the 200m Backstroke and Ioan Evans (2:07.20 Swim Wales) fifth in the Men's race.

Duncan Scott (48.95 GB) finished fourth in the 100m freestyle won by Kliment Kolesnikov (48.52). Team mates Ben Proud (50.03) and Stephen Milne (50.98) came first and fourth in the B Final.
