National Arena Swimming League Finals 2014

Congratulations to Millfield School and Taunton Deane on their 3rd and 4th place finishes in the National Arena Swimming League B Final on 26 April 2014 won by City of Sheffield. Well done to all the competing teams on a well fought competition.

Millfield's Robert Holderness was Best Male Swimmer, winning the Open 100m Breast (1.01.83) and Nick Laws was Most Improved 13/under Male and achieved a National QT in the 100m Free (0:57.17). James Guy won the 200m IM (2:02.29 - School Record), Open 100m Free (0:50.90 – School Record) and Open 100m Fly (0:54.31) and helped the senior boys achieve the school record in the 6x50m relay, one of six winning Millfield team performances. Thomas Kingham won the 15/u 100m Free (0:54.98).

There were individual wins for Taunton Deane's Beth Newton (Girls 15/U 100m Backstroke, 1:05.71), Libby Mitchell (Womens Open 100m Butterfly, 1:02.02), and Josh Gunn (Boys 15/U 100m Backstroke, 1:01.16).  Taunton Deane also won the Womens Open 200m Medley Team (1:59.03).
