IoS Courses and Training

As part of the review of the Swim England Team Manager Training, there is a new method for booking and registering for these courses. Clubs / organisations complete the team manager course booking form and send it to their relevant regional contact.

Please note Lesley Burton has left Swim England Qualifications. Any CPD queries / registrations should now be sent to cpd@swimenglandqualifications.com and these will be picked up by the relevant people. 

Please email swimsouthwest@swimming.org with any relevant course information you wish to be advertised in the Region.

NB if you are struggling to fill courses please let the Regional Office know so they can advertise the opportunities to their contacts in the Region for you.

Bursary Funding

Somerset ASA is pleased to contribute to bursaries which support development.Bursary application
Funding is available for ASA / UKCC Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Teacher and Coach Education Courses for all disciplines by submitting Swim England South West's application form to nominated County Officer Colin Christmas (and remember to copy in the Regional Finance Officer) . Please indicate on the form in which year you completed a Somerset ASA Young Volunteer Program if you wish to be considered for an additional £50 County bursary for those who did so. 

 

If you are actively working within a club network you may be eligible for funding from ASA South West Region. Two funding pots are available - please see the below forms for more information. Please note, ASA SWR Swimming Committee will not fund Diving, Open Water, Synchronised Swimming or Water Polo activities. Practical CPD is vital for coaches - stand still & you will get left behind as the currency of your knowledge & skills becomes out-dated.
