Water Polo

Somerset ASA 2014 Men's Water Polo Team

Water Polo across Somerset has connections at Frome, Weston Super Mare, Wincanton and the University of Bath. We hope to see the return of the Somerset Invitational League in the not too distant future, however this discipline of our sport is co-ordinated at Regional level. The current County Water Polo Secretary is Mike Coles (pictured).

Within Somerset ASA's 2018/19 Development budget, a funding pot of £2,000 will focus on encouraging more participation in the disciplines of Open Water, Water Polo, Synchronised Swimming and Masters.

Teams from Frome, University of Bath and Weston Super Mare currently compete in the Bristol and West League. Why not keep in touch with progress throughout the season?

The SW Region Water Polo Committee is continuing to run the Regional Academy part of the elite training pathway on behalf of Swim England and uses these sessions to assist with training and selection of regional squads. View dates and information on the 2017/18 programme.

Trials for our County teams for the forthcoming South West Inter County Championships (competition dates here) took place on Saturday 14 October 2017 at King's College, Taunton. View details.

Frome, Bath Uni, Taunton and Weston-super-Mare will play in the Somerset Senior Men's Water Polo tournament at Kings College, Taunton on 25 November 2017 at 4pm. View details.

A close game saw our women's team hold off Swansea to a 10-10. A tense match and a great performance! @subathsport @thesubath pic.twitter.com/78uyhs41Rv
