Important Updates - Somerset ASA Championships 2018

We wish to remind all coaches, swimmers and parents that swimmers and their teams are given 30 minutes to withdraw from a final. This is an additional 20 minutes on top of the published 10 minutes in the Meet Conditions and gives the two reserves an opportunity to swim in a final.

Fines for empty lanes in finals will be applied this year so please work together to ensure the recording desk are advised within the 30 minutes to enable any reserve to swim.

These fines will be sent to the Club Competition Secretaries at the end of the County Competition.

We announced on 27 Jan 2018 that the morning warm ups will be increased by 5 minutes for each warm up. Swimming will therefore commence at 9.30am. This will have a knock on effect to the afternoon sessions which will start 30 minutes later.

We ask Coaches to work with the announcer and warm up marshals to ensure your swimmers are adhering to these guidelines to enable all swimmers to warm up effectively:

Please download updates published 27 Jan for * indicates for all sessions.

Kelly Podbury said: "I wish to thank everyone for a great second day at the Counties where we experienced Heats in the morning and Finals in the afternoon.  I have to say that all the volunteers were outstanding today. Everyone was where they needed to be when required. Thank you!

"Paul Chambers is in charge tomorrow, be kind, have a great day and I'll see you all next week."
