Somerset ASA Development Meet 2017 - Entries and Useful Information

[Session Meet Programmes added and Volunteer Allocation updated 25 November below]

We would like to thank clubs for submitting entries in good time and Kelly Podbury is pleased to be able to confirm entries in accordance with this list.

This year we have had an amazing 3,280 entries, an increase of 87 on 2016. Unfortunately, as we are sure you will appreciate, Kelly has had to scratch a considerable number of entries to ensure we are compliant with the licensing rules on session timings. Scratching 346 swims has still resulted in an additional 20 swimmers participating this year than last. By comparison, 520 swims were scratched before confirming entries in 2016 and over the course of the two day competition, a further 225 swims were scratched.

The scratches have been conducted in accordance with the published Conditions.

Please can Clubs ask Officials to offer their support by emailing Graham Cockill (grahamcockill@btinternet.com).

Please can Clubs advise spectators that entry fees this year will be £3 per day or £5 for the weekend. Remember your volunteers do not need to pay the entry fee for the day they are volunteering - a small token of the County's appreciation for helping out with the running of the event.

Printed programmes will not be produced this year but Kelly hopes to be able to publish the heat information via Meet Mobile.

Coaches will receive their printed heat sheets at the beginning of each session. Coaches are requested to come and collect their pass on arrival on Saturday. They will be entitled to free tea/coffee if they present themselves to the catering area with their pass.  COACH PASSES NEED TO BE WORN AT ALL TIMES PLEASE, especially when on the swimmers' balcony.

Parents are not permitted on the swimmers balcony.

Kelly will confirm entry fees with clubs separately on 12 November 2017 with a reminder of the bank details for payment.

All information on the meet will be published on Meet Mobile on Wednesday 15 November 2017 for parents to be able to view details.

If Clubs need any other information please contact Kelly. We look forward to seeing everyone at the County Development Meet over 25/16 November 2017.
